If you Accidentally touch the bulb, just wipe it with a clean rag

The plastic housing that came standard was either tightened too far, or became fused on mine. Had to be chiseled off. Your local auto parts store sells a replacement housing, made from metal now, that greatly improves removability. Highly recommend.

My auntie and uncle set one in the basement where i live 6 months ago there's a ton a drain flies now..please..help me give me a idea because i have those drain flies all over my basement

Recently purchased a 2012 SR5 and changed mine for the first time yesterday. Wasn’t too difficult except that I could not remove the skid plate completely so I just left it hanging and had to struggle to get to the filter from the behind the passenger side tire area. I was dreading the potential that the filter would be overnighted but it wasn’t so no issue there. I did notice that there wasn’t a washer on the drain plug of the oil pan so I added a blue nylon washer to be on the safe side. I 100% agree about the difficulty of checking the dip stick. It was already difficult with used oil (around 2k miles on what I changed) but was almost impossible to tell with fresh oil. I finished a little after dark and like you, I had to recheck this morning. Maybe I’ll have better luck with the skid plate next time. I plan to do it again in 2k miles as this was just to flush the oil that was in it when I purchased it since I wasn’t sure what the dealer was running in it. I had just enough Kirkland oil to use for this change but plan to go to Pennzoil Platinum High Mileage since I’m at 108k miles. At 110k my plan is to change every 5k so the nice round numbers will help remind me.😊

Got a issue with the mount, my door is like a hotel door, metal with with a lip on the edges of the door preventing the door from closing when the mount is applied…any suggestions?

A great video would be even greater without music. Hold the oil bottle sideways when pouring to prevent it from bubbling out. Theres no need to wipe the dipstick after reading it before placing it back in.

What about that clip on the oil filter housing? I think that locks the housing down. Is this correct?
